Natalie Cignetti (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) had 12 kills and senior setter
Lindsay Moeller (Troy, Mich./Troy) had 32 assists and 10 digs, but IUP dropped a three-set road match to Edinboro on Saturday afternoon.
The loss drops the Crimson Hawks to 14-6 overall and 5-4 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). It was the 16th straight win for Edinboro, which improved to 16-4 overall and 9-0 in the conference, the best record in the Northwest Division.
The Fighting Scots won by scores of 25-17, 26-24, and 25-19.
Cignetti's 12 kills came on 31 total attacks and had a .290 hitting percentage. She added 10 digs and had two block assists.
Junior
Alexis Anderson (Cleveland, Ohio/Mayfield) added eight kills, four aces, eight digs and a solo block. Senior
Lily McWilliams (Rockville, Md./Thomas Sprigg Wootton) had seven kills on 19 attacks and sophomore
Jess Marut (Painesville, Ohio/Riverside) had a team-high 14 digs.
The Crimson Hawks now start a stretch of four home matches in nine days, starting with a matchup with division-rival Seton Hill on Friday, Oct. 21.
