THE GAME AT A GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks bring their five-game win streak into their home matchup with Mansfield on Saturday. Tipoff at the Kovalchick Complex is set for 5:30 p.m. IUP is outscoring opponents by more than 20 points during its current run, which includes four PSAC crossover games, running its overall record to 5-2 on the year. Mansfield broke a five-game losing streak with a 17-point non-conference victory over Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday. The Mountaineers are 2-5 on the year and 0-4 in league play.

STORYLINES
• This is the fourth of seven straight home games for the Crimson Hawks; They are 3-0 this year at home and 39-6 in four seasons under HC
Tom McConnell while Mansfield carries a 1-3 road record this season
• McConnell is 2-0 against Mansfield during his time at IUP and has a 20-2 record against teams from the PSAC East since the 2013-14 season
• IUP leads the PSAC and ranks 22nd in Division II by holding opponents to under 56 points per game this season; Teams have broken 60 points just once against IUP (Kutztown, 67), averaging just 23.0 points in the first half
• Mansfield is averaging just under 62 points per game, hitting the 70-point mark just once this season
• IUP is also one of the top shooting teams in the PSAC, ranking 4th in field goal percentage (43.6) and fourth in three-point field goal percentage (34.2)

CAROLYN APPLEBY TURNING INTO SCORING THREAT FOR THE CRIMSON HAWKS

Carolyn Appleby (Greensburg, Pa. /Greensburg Central Catholic) has stepped into a full-time role this year and leads IUP in scoring at 16.1 points per game. She's scored in double-figures in six straight games, posting 20-point outings on three occasions, with a career-high 22 points coming at Bloomsburg on Nov. 20. Her game has been even better against conference foes, averaging 19.0 points while shooting 45.2 percent in four wins.
MEGAN SMITH AGAIN THE MOST VERSATILE ON THE FLOOR FOR THE CRIMSON HAWKS

Megan Smith (Blain, Pa./West Perry) is having another all-around season, chipping in on both ends of the court. Leading the Crimson Hawks with 6.7 rebounds per game, she's also second in scoring at 15.3 points and blocks with nine. Smith ranks sixth in the conferene with a 47.1 field goal percentage and has made 40.9 percent of her three-point attempts (9-22).
LAUREN WOLOSIK HAS BEEN VALUABLE IN HER RETURN TO THE COURT

Lauren Wolosik (Pittsburgh, Pa. /North Catholic) has return to start in all seven games so far this season for IUP. She's one of three players scoring in double-figures at 10.3 points per game and leads the Crimson Hawks with 27 assists on the year. Over her last four outings, Wolosik is averaging 11.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game, and leads the team with over 32 minutes of court time.
BRITTANY ROBINSON LEADS THE PSAC, RANKS 21st IN DIVISION II IN BLOCKS PER GAME

Brittany Robinson (Harrisburg, Pa. /Central Dauphin East) is the top shot blocker in the conference, averaging 2.43 swats per game for a total of 17 this season. She's had at least one block in six of her seven games, including a career-high seven against Shippensburg and four against UVA-Wise. The seven blocks is tied for the fourth most in IUP single game history and is the most since Melissa McGill had nine against Shippensburg on Jan. 12, 2000.
THE IUP DEFENSE AGAIN ONE OF THE BEST IN THE PSAC, DIVISION II IN SEVERAL CATEGORIES
The Crimson Hawks' defense has been a force early this year, as IUP leads the PSAC in points allowed (55.1), opponents' field goal percentage (34.0), and blocked shots per game (5.86). Those also rank near the top nationally, the blocked shots is ninth, points allowed 22nd, and field goal percentage 24th. In addition to Robinson's 17 total blocks, Smith has nine, and six more players have at least two.

Ana Hollen (Bellwood, Pa./Bellwood) is averaging 12.6 minutes per game playing behind Appleby in her first year at IUP after transferring from UPJ.
D'ANNA ADDING TO IUP's POST PRESENCE
D'Anna is averaging nearly 14 minutes through seven games this year, and leads all IUP freshmen with 33 points (4.7 ppg). Her most success came in back-to-back games against Bloomsburg and Bowie State, averaging 12.0 points and 5.5 rebounds, while making 11-12 field goal attempts. D'Anna had a season-high 14 points in 17 minutes against Bowie and played 24 minutes against Bloomsburg.
