INDIANA, Pa. – The IUP baseball team couldn't slow down the Seton Hill offense on Friday afternoon, dropping both ends of a doubleheader to the Griffins by scores of 20-0 and 14-0 at Dougherty Field.
The Crimson Hawks fell to four games behind Seton Hill in the PSAC West standings, dropping to 14-19 overall and 6-8 in the division. Seton Hill is now 25-9 overall and 10-4 in the division.
IUP totaled just eight hits in the doubleheader while the Griffins had 29.
Anthony Rigous (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) went a combined 2-for-5 while
Rick Jones (New Castle, Pa./Laurel) went 2-for-3 in game two.
Christian McClure (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and
Matt Douglas (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) took the losses on the mound.
These two teams wrap up their season series on Sunday in Greensburg. First pitch of game one set for 1 p.m.
