SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Redshirt sophomore
Elora Pittman (Jackson, Mich./Michigan Center) had 11 kills and six total blocks to help IUP women's volleyball to a four-set victory over Shepherd in a Tuesday evening non-conference road match.
Pittman set career-highs in both kills and blocks, while also tallying an ace. The Crimson Hawks took the first two sets by scores of 25-13 and 25-23 before dropping the third 26-24. They rebounded for a comeback 27-25 fourth set win.
In a match in which neither team hit well, the Crimson Hawks had a .145 attack percentage while Shepherd hit .077. With the win, IUP improved to 9-1 overall on the year while the Rams fell to 4-5.
Junior
Alexis Anderson (Cleveland, Ohio/Mayfield) also had 11 kills while senior
Lily McWilliams (Rockville, Md./Thomas Sprigg Wootton) had 10 kills, her sixth double-figure kill match of the season. Both added four block assists.

Gabby Egler (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Obama Academy) had nine kills and five block assists and junior
Natalie Cignetti (Indiana, Pa. /Indiana) had seven kills. Senior setter
Lindsay Moeller (Troy, Mich./Troy) dished out 36 assists and 13 digs and sophomore
Jess Marut (Painesville, Ohio/Riverside) had a team-high 14 digs.
The Crimson Hawks return home with three straight matches on campus, starting with Charleston next Tuesday night.
