INDIANA, Pa. – Sophomore forward Maura D'Anna scored a game-high 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds to help 20th-ranked IUP women's basketball to a 72-47 win over visiting West Virginia State on Sunday afternoon at the Kovalchick Complex.
Prior to the game, IUP players and coaches celebrated their 2017 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship with a special ring ceremony. The Crimson Hawks then went on to their second straight blowout victory to start the year.

Halle Denman (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) also tallied nine rebounds.
Also reaching in double-figures in scoring for the Crimson Hawks was redshirt senior guard Audrey Stapleton, who scored 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting in 23 minutes off the bench. Stapleton hit 3-of-5 from beyond the arc and made both free throw attempts.
The Crimson Hawks forced West Virginia State (0-2) into 20 turnovers, with six players combining for 11 steals. Redshirt junior guard
