THE WEEKEND AT A GLANCE
The 20th-ranked Crimson Hawks open their 2017-18 season at home this weekend as they host the S&T Bank PSAC-MEC Conference Challenge. IUP will play West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday at the Memorial Field House and West Virginia State on Sunday at the Kovalchick Complex, both games are scheduled to top at 3 p.m. The four-team challenge also includes Mansfield.

NOTES/STORYLINES
• The Crimson Hawks are 3-1 in season openers under HC Tom McConnell; IUP is also 4-0 in home openers
• Since 2013, IUP owns a 48-8 (.857) record in home games, including 12-2 last season
• For the first time under McConnell, the Crimson Hawks open the season as a ranked team, showing up at No. 20 in the WBCA Coaches Top 25 and No. 6 in the D2SIDA Media Poll
