AUSTIN, Texas – IUP senior outside hitter Natalie Cignetti (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) has been named a second team selection on the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division II Volleyball Team, which was selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and released on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The CoSIDA Academic All-America® teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
 
Cignetti boasts a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average as a natural science, pre-med major. It's her first career CoSIDA Academic All-America® honor after receiving her second Academic All-District™ selection last month.

The 2017 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Year, Cignetti closed out her IUP volleyball career earlier this month and is regarded as one of the best players in program history. She is currently ranked 12th in Division II and leads the PSAC with 4.34 kills per set. She is third in IUP history for career kills with a total of 1,283.
