28th-ranked IUP women's tennis looks for its second straight win to open the spring season on Saturday, as they square off against Carnegie Mellon. The match will be played indoors at The Club Sport & Health in Monroeville. The Crimson Hawks are fresh off of an easy 7-2 victory at Oberlin (Ohio) last Saturday, and carry a 2-0 overall record on the year. Carnegie Mellon is one of the top teams in a powerful Division III, with the Tartans ranked No. 12 in the latest ITA Rankings. The Tartans are 5-1 this season and are coming off of a 7-0 loss to Duquesne last weekend.
UPDATE: The match has been moved from indoors to outside at Carnegie Mellon's tennis courts in Pittsburgh.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
*The Crimson Hawks played Carnegie Mellon three straight springs from 2012-14, dropping each of those matches by scores of 9-0, 8-1 and 8-1
*IUP is looking for its third straight 3-0 start; The Crimson Hawks started 3-0 in 2014-15 and 13-0 in 2015-16
*For the first time, IUP opens the spring as the highest ranked Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) team in the ITA Division II Rankings, reaching a program-best No. 28; Mercyhurst is ranked No. 45
*The Crimson Hawks also rank first in the Atlantic Region for the first time

Luise von Agris (Castrop-Rauxel, Germany/Adalbet-Stifter-Gymnasium) is looking to become the first IUP player to reach 10 singles victories this season; She's 9-4 this year, including 8-2 in her last 10 and 2-0 in dual matches
*von Agris also leads the team in combined victories this season, owning a 19-7 overall record (10-3 in doubles)
