* The match features two of the top teams in the Atlantic Region, as IUP is ranked second and West Virginia State fourth in the latest NCAA Division II rankings
* The Crimson Hawks have defeated West Virginia State in each of the past six seasons, including 8-1 wins in 2015 and 2016
* West Virginia State has a pair of players ranked in the top 20 in the Atlantic Region by the ITA, including Laura Isbey (fourth) and Kierstin Hensley (13th); Isbey and Marta Yevstakhevych are also the seventh ranked doubles team in the region
