WEEKEND AT A GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks open their 2017 season with a pair of conference home matches against Pitt-Johnstown and Bloomsburg this weekend. IUP begins the year against UPJ on Thursday at 4 p.m. and will square off against the Huskies on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Both matches will be played at South Campus Field.
STORYLINES / WHAT TO WATCH FOR
*IUP is coming off of a PSAC tournament appearance, earning the eighth seed before falling to top seed West Chester in the opening round; Bloomsburg was the seventh seed in 2016 while UPJ finished last in the regular season standings
*The Crimson Hawks were picked to finish ninth in the league in the PSAC preseason coaches' poll; Bloomsburg showed up at six and UPJ was picked 17th
*IUP is 14-1-1 in season openers dating back to the 2001 season, including 14 straight season-opening wins from 2001-14

Lexie Palluconi (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) enters the weekend 11th all-time in IUP history with 53 points and 13th with 19 goals
