WEEKEND AT A GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks open their 2017 season with the Quality Inn Crimson Hawk Invitational this Thursday thru Saturday, August 31 – September 2. A total of 11 matches will take place at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex (KCAC) and the Memoria Field House (MFH) on IUP's campus. Teams invited to compete are Clarion, Roberts Wesleyan, Ursuline, Daemen and sixth-ranked Palm Beach Atlantic.
STORYLINES / WHAT TO WATCH FOR
*IUP is coming off of its most successful season in more than a decade, finishing 20-11 and earning a berth in the PSAC tournament for the first time since 2004
*The Crimson Hawks were picked to finish third in the talented and deep PSAC Southwest Division, earning three of the 16 possible first place votes; Clarion was picked to win the division with seven first place votes
