WEEKEND AT A GLANCE
The Crimson Hawks open PSAC play this weekend as they continue their 2017 season with matches against East Stroudsburg this Friday in East Stroudsburg, Pa. before traveling to Kutztown on Saturday to face the Golden Bears. 
 
STORYLINES / WHAT TO WATCH FOR
*IUP looks to continue its 9-3 start to the season, including a complete three-match sweep at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Euclid, Ohio last weekend; Sr. OH Natalie Cignetti (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) continues to be a bright spot of the Crimson Hawks by compiling 51 kills (5.10 kills/set) with a .410 hitting percentage; her 19 kills vs. West Virginia Wesleyan is tied for 12th most by a Division II player in a three-set match this year
*IUP remains one of the best teams in the conference in returning serves, ranking first by giving up just 0.73 opponent aces per set; IUP is also top five in hitting percentage as team as well as assists per set
*IUP is currently undefeated all-time against East Stroudsburg, a winning streak of 14 matches; IUP has defeated Kutztown five years in a row and is 16-3 all time against the Golden Bears
*Cignetti enters this weekend as the PSAC'S leader in kills per set with 4.28; Cal's Rachel Priore is second with 4.00
*Sr. S Katie Miller (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) ranks second in the conference with 10.70 assists per set; She had a career-high 50 assists in five sets against Charleston

RECORD WATCH
*Cignetti is currently averaging 4.28 kills per set; keeping this pace would place her at fourth overall in a season in the IUP record books; Cignetti slid her way up in the record books and is currently fifth all-time in kills with 981 through her career now on the chase for fourth which is held by Tracy Pangallo and only 19 kills away from the 1000 kills club
*Miller is currently sitting at 428 assists through twelve matches; keeping this pace would help her crack the top 10 in assists in a season; with her 428 assists thus far, Miller sits in eighth place all-time in assists in IUP history, just surpassing Carissa Miara
*Sr. L Jess Marut (Painesville, Ohio/Riverside) keeps climbing the record books; With her 172 digs this season, she now sits at third on the all-time IUP record books in digs with 1,374 just surpassing Krista Nordby who had 1337; next Marut shoots for Sarah Rosenberry who has 1,752 digs in her career
*Sr. MB Gabby Egler (Pittsburgh, Pa./Barack Obama Academy) finds herself in the top 10 in blocks all-time with 236 just surpassing former teammate Meghan Schneider; next up is Danielle Ostendorf at 265
