IUP women's volleyball (6-13, 2-4 PSAC) will host their annual Dig Pink match against Clarion Tuesday, October 2 in the Kovalchick Complex. The Crimson Hawks will look to bounce back after being swept last weekend by Mercyhurst and No. 21 Gannon.
NOTES
>> The Crimson Hawks trail the all-time series with Clarion 23-18. Last season, they split with the Golden Eagles including a 3-0 sweep at home on November 7. Clarion currently sits in second place in the PSAC Southwest.
>> Senior Jess Marut continues to be a defensive force for the Crimson Hawks with 33 digs (5.5/set) last weekend. Marut is ranked 41st in Division II with 333 digs this season and 39th in digs per set with 5.37.
>> Maurt is currently 11th in PSAC history with 2,068 career digs, a number that is also second all-time at IUP.
>> Junior Jessica Ignace and sophomore Madi Burns each had team-high seven kills in the Crimson Hawks loss to Gannon Saturday.
>> Sophomore Dominica Niccolai combined for 51 assists last weekend. She has 474 this year and is third in the PSAC Southwest with 8.03 assists per set.
>> Sophomore Liv Burns had a season-high three aces in the Crimson Hawks match against Mercyhurst.
