INDIANA, Pa. - Afternoon rain forced the cancellation of the IUP women's tennis match against Bloomsburg Saturday afternoon.
Originally slated for a 10 a.m. start, morning rain moved the match back to the afternoon. After doubles play, rain forced a slight postponement before more rain at 4 p.m. ultimately brought the cancellation of the match.
The Crimson Hawks led 1-0 after doubles.
Julia Newman and
Thais Andreotti picked up a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles while
Mariana Valenzuela and
Maria Magraner won 7-5 at No. 2.
IUP was playing its second straight match without its top two players.
