MONROEVILLE, Pa. – A win at the fourth singles spot by
Nicole Beidacki (Porto Alegre, Brazil/Colegio Sao Judas Tadeu) clinched the third victory of the spring season for IUP women's tennis as the Crimson Hawks defeated Denison 6-3 Saturday afternoon.
Beidacki defeated Madeline Hart 6-3, 6-3 to remain undefeated in dual meets this year. The Crimson Hawks improved to 4-0 with the victory, including 3-0 to open the spring portion of their schedule.
RESULTS
Beidacki had one of four singles victories for the Crimson Hawks.
Luise von Agris (Castrop-Rauxel, Germany/Adalbet-Stifter-Gymnasium) won 6-2, 6-1 at the second spot,
Katya Minchenkova (Mytishchi, Russia/Secondary School No.12) 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 at three, and
Mariana Valenzuela (Bogotá, Colombia/George Berkeley School) 6-1, 6-2 at six.
In doubles action,
Jarka Petercakova (Bratislava, Slovakia/Sport Gymnasium) and von Agris picked up an 8-1 win at the first spot, while Beidacki and Minchenkova won 8-5 at the second spot.
