LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – IUP women's tennis senior
Luise von Agris has been named to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference's (PSAC) Spring Top 10 team, announced Tuesday afternoon by the league office.
Initiated in the 1997-98 academic year, the PSAC Top 10 Awards are designed to recognize student-athletes who excel in both the classroom and in athletic competition. The Top 10 Award is selected by the conference's sports information directors and given to five males and five females in each athletic season: fall, winter and spring.

This is von Agris' first career PSAC Top 10 honor.
Von Agris graduated in May with a 3.97 cumulative grade point average as an international business major from Castrop-Rauxel, Germany. She was a first team All-PSAC West selection in both singles and doubles, was named the PSAC Tournament Most Valuable Player, and was the ITA Arthur Ashe Leadership Award recipient for the Atlantic Region.
Von Agris had a record-breaking spring, setting new team marks for career singles (99), doubles (110), and combined wins (209). She also broke her own IUP single season records with 31 doubles wins and 57 combined wins this season.
She boasted a 12-0 record against PSAC West opponents this year, including a 2-0 doubles record against nationally-ranked opponents.
Von Agris' career accomplishments
The four-time ITA Scholar-Athlete was named the 2016 NCAA Division II Elite 90 recipient for women's tennis and is a 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-America selection. She owns five single season and career IUP records, was a three-time first team all-conference selection, and won the 2016 PSAC Doubles Championship with teammate
Jarka Petercakova.
IUP's PSAC Top 10 honors
Von Agris joins IUP men's track & field senior Austin Cooper as PSAC Spring Top 10 honorees. They give IUP 56 total top 10 awards since 1997-98, the fourth most in conference history. Shippensburg has 67, Slippery Rock 63, and Clarion 57.
IUP totaled five top 10 awards during the 2017-18 academic year, the second most in the conference (Shippensburg, six).
