INDIANA, Pa. – The IUP women's volleyball team picked up another split Saturday, losing to Lake Erie before defeating Roberts Wesleyan at the Kovalchick Complex. IUP finished its two-day Crimson Hawk Invitational with a 2-2 record.
Freshman
Kylie Osborn was IUP's top scorer on day two, totaling 21 kills (4.20/set) and 21.5 points against LEC and Wesleyan. She finished with 50 kills on the weekend.
Osborn had a match-high 12 kills in a three-set win over Wesleyan (0-4), with the Crimson Hawks taking it with scores of 25-16, 25-9 and 25-22. The third set finished in exciting fashion, with senior
Jess Marut serving seven straight points for a comeback win.
Junior
Jessica Ignace had 11 kills in the nightcap and finished with 15 kills and 17.5 points on the day.
Sophomore
Jasmine Raudys was also a highlight of the match, tallying four service aces to go along with three kills.
IUP hit .223 for the match, including a .550 hitting percentage in the 25-9 second set victory.
Lake Erie too strong for IUP
The Crimson Hawks (2-6) dropped a three-setter to the Lake Erie Storm (5-1) earlier in the afternoon by scores of 25-23, 25-17 and 25-19.
IUP hit into 21 errors and finished with a .109 hitting percentage. Osborn led IUP with nine kills while freshman
Lexi Hraga had eight. Raudys hit .462 with seven kills in 13 attacks.
Marut had a match-high 33 digs.

The Crimson Hawks have their third and final tournament of the fall next weekend as they head to California (Pa.) for the Vulcan Invitational. They'll face West Virginia Wesleyan, No. 5 Nebraska-Kearney, Southern New Hampshire and Notre Dame (Ohio).
