LEWISBURG, Pa. – Freshman
Thais Andreotti and sophomore
Maria Magraner each won singles titles in their respective flights as the IUP women's tennis team wrapped up a successful weekend at Bucknell University's Bison Invite Sunday.
Andreotti capped her weekend by winning the Flight 3 title with a 6-2, 6-3 win over teammate
Mariana Valenzuela. She finished her weekend 4-0 in her flight, defeating players from three Division I programs – Niagara, Bucknell and Marist.

Magraner won the Flight 4 title, also defeating a teammate in
Flavia Flandoli by a score of 6-1, 6-3. She went 3-0 in singles play, also defeating players from Binghamton and Niagara.
Sophomore
Julia Newman and freshman
Laura Dunarova also played and wrapped up their weekends Sunday.
Dunarova dropped her Flight 1 consolation semifinal match to eventual champion Paige Leavy of Bucknell, 6-3, 6-4. Newman fell in the Flight 2 consolation championship match to Bucknell's Sophia Ayuso by a score of 6-0, 6-2.
Crimson Hawks have another successful weekend
IUP players went a combined 20-12 at the Bison Invite, including a 17-8 record in singles play. It's the second straight highly successful weekend for the Crimson Hawks, who saw Valenzuela and Magraner win the "B bracket" doubles title at the ITA Atlantic Region Championships last weekend.

The Crimson Hawks head to Bloomsburg next weekend for the 2018 PSAC Individual Championships next weekend. The three-day championships are set to begin Saturday, September 29.
