THE GAME AT A GLANCE
No. 1-ranked IUP women's basketball (13-0, 8-0 PSAC) starts the second of their regular season schedule with a weekday roadtrip to East Stroudsburg (8-7, 5-3 PSAC). Tipoff Wednesday at Koehler Fieldhouse is 6 p.m. The Crimson Hawks kept the early season win streak alive with a 90-54 blowout win at Slippery Rock Saturday, their second of three straight road games. The Warriors have not seen the court for a week, defeating Lock Haven 81-60 at home last Wednesday.

>> The win was the 11th game decided by at least 20 points for IUP, including the seventh of more than 30.
>> The 90 points scored is the most since IUP put up 100 in a win over Cheyney on November 28.
>> The Crimson Hawks are 2-0 with a scoring margin of +26.5 playing as the No. 1 team in Division II.
>> IUP is 4-0 against PSAC East teams this season with a scoring margin of +27.0. The Crimson Hawks defeated Kutztown and Millersville by a combined 56 points on the road in the league's opening weekend.

Tom McConnell. IUP opened the 2014-15 season 13-0 and went 15-0 to begin last season.

>> East Stroudsburg is 8-7 overall and in a tie for 2nd in the PSAC East with a 5-3 league record.
>> The Warriors are on their third 2-game win streak of the season with wins over Lock Haven (81-60) and Shippensburg (68-64).
>> ESU is 2-3 against PSAC West teams this year with wins over Mercyhurst (65-64) and Seton Hill (73-58).
>> They are 3-1 at home this year, the only loss coming to Slippery Rock 75-68 on December 3.
CRIMSON HAWKS RANKED NO. 1 IN WBCA TOP 25
>> The Crimson Hawks remain No. 1 in the WBCA Coaches' Top 25 for the second straight week.
>> This marks the first time in program history that IUP is the top-ranked team in Division II.
>> The Crimson Hawks are 2-0 as the No. 1 team with both wins on the road (Mercyhurst, Slippery Rock).
>> IUP was ranked No. 5 in the WBCA preseason poll, moving up to No. 3 on Nov. 27 and staying there for two weeks before its No. 2 ranking on Dec. 11.
>> The Crimson Hawks are ranked No. 4 in this week's D2SIDA Media Top 25, moving up from No. 5 last week.
>> They are also the No. 1 ranked team in the media's Atlantic Region poll, garnering all six first place votes.
IUP IS ONE OF THE TOP SCORING TEAMS IN DIVISION II
>> The Crimson Hawks lead the PSAC and are ranked 11th in Division II with a scoring average of 81.6 PPG.
>> They have scored 80 points six times this year, including two 100-point outings.
>> Those 100-point games - 101 vs. Ohio Valley and 100 vs. Cheyney - are the 14th and 15th 100-point performances in program history.
>> The 95 points against Alderson Broaddus is the 2nd most by IUP in a season opener (96 vs. Ohio Valley, 2002).
>> Four players average double-figures in scoring (Appleby 17.5, Robinson 10.8, Wolosik 10.5, Griggs 10.2) while all 13 who have seen the court average better than 2.0 points.
THE IUP DEFENSE ALSO AMONG THE BEST IN THE NATION
>> IUP is 2nd in Division II in scoring defense (48.7) and FG% defense (.322), 3rd in turnovers forced (20.54) and 3FG% defense (.230), and 25th in steals per game (11.2).
>> IUP has held opponents to 50 or fewer points seven times, including a season-low 32 points to Shippensburg. That's tied for the 10th fewest allowed in program history and the least given up since the 2011-12 season.
>> IUP has forced at least 13 turnovers in all 13 games, including eight games of 20-plus.
>> IUP has faced six of the top 10 individual scorers in the PSAC, holding them to an average of 8.2 points below their season totals. Ariel Jones (Shippensburg) averages 25.3 points but was held to just 10.
CAROLYN APPLEBY IS IUP'S TOP SCORING THREAT

Carolyn Appleby leads the team and is 11th in the PSAC in scoring at 17.5 PPG.
>> She was named PSAC West Athlete of the Week Monday after averaging 20.5 PPG in two wins last week.
>> She has 12 straight double-digit scoring games, including five 20-point outings, and has led the Crimson Hawks in scoring eight times.
>> Appleby is averaging 19.0 PPG against PSAC teams, including a season-high 24 at Slippery Rock.
LAUREN WOLOSIK MADE HISTORY LAST WEEK
>> During IUP's win at Mercyhurst last week, R-Sr. G
Lauren Wolosik became the first player in program history to record 1,000 points and 400 assists in a career.
>> She missed five games earlier this season with an injury, but in the four games since returning she's averaging 9.5 PPG with 29 assists and 17 steals.
BRITTANY ROBINSON CONTRIBUTES ON BOTH ENDS OF THE FLOOR

Brittany Robinson is 3rd in IUP history with 143 career blocks, including a team-high 14 this year.
>> She's 2nd on the team in scoring at 10.7 PPG, with three games of at least 18 points.
>> Robinson's 57.1 career FG% is the best mark in program history. She's shooting 58.7 pct. this season.
LEXI GRIGGS PROVING VALUABLE IN HER FIRST YEAR AS A STARTER

Lexi Griggs is 4th on the team in scoring (10.2 PPG), 2nd in rebounding (6.7 RPG) and 3rd in assists (32).
>> She also 2nd on the team with a 57.7 FG% (60-104) and 11 blocks.
>> Griggs has three double-doubles this season, including two in the last three games. She posted a career-high 10 points in the win over Pitt-Johnstown and had a personal-best 12 boards at Slippery Rock.
