THE GAME AT A GLANCE
No. 1-ranked IUP women's basketball (14-0, 9-0 PSAC) hosts a battle of conference elite when Edinboro (10-4, 6-3 PSAC) visits Indiana Monday. Tipoff at the Kovalchick Complex is set for 1 p.m. The Crimson Hawks continue to ride their great start and remained undefeated after Wednesday's 84-62 win at East Stroudsburg. The Fighting Scots have dropped two of their last three games, including a 71-57 home loss to Gannon Wednesday.

Brittany Robinson added 12 points and 10 boards as IUP shot 51.6 percent from the floor.
>> The win was the 12th game decided by at least 20 points for the Crimson Hawks.
>> IUP wrapped up its three-game road swing averaging 82.7 points per game with an average scoring margin of +25.0. The Crimson Hawks shot 50.0 percent fromt he floor and made 30 3-pointers.
>> The Crimson Hawks are now 3-0 playing as the No. 1 team in Division II.
>> IUP is 8-0 at home this season with an average scoring margin of +34.1. Its last home game was a 73-45 win over Pitt-Johnstown on January 5.
>> This is the Crimson Hawks' second best start under HC
Tom McConnell. He led IUP to 15 straight wins to open last year en route to an Atlantic Region title and national semifinal appearance.
>> It is the program's third best start overall. The 1999-00 team opened the year with 16 straight wins.
>> This is McConnell's fourth win streak of at least 12 games during his time with the Crimson Hawks. He now has four of the top five win streaks in program history.
>> McConnell is 8-4 lifetime against Edinboro. He's 8-1 against the Fighting Scots since 2014-15, including a current 3-game win streak dating back to 2016-17 where IUP has an average scoring margin of +12.0.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT THE FIGHTING SCOTS
>> Edinboro is 10-4 overall and third in the PSAC West standings with a 6-3 league record.
>> The Fighting Scots are 1-1 this year against ranked opponents, losing at No. 18 Virginia Union 79-58 on November 10 and defeating No. 12 Cal U 99-92 at home on January 2.
>> Edinboro had a 6-game win streak through December and early January before dropping two of its last three games to Gannon (71-57) and at Kutztown (72-70).
>> Edinboro is 4-3 in true road games this season, also losing at Bloomsburg 70-62 in December.
CRIMSON HAWKS RANKED NO. 1 IN WBCA TOP 25
>> The Crimson Hawks remain No. 1 in the WBCA Coaches' Top 25 for the second straight week.
>> This marks the first time in program history that IUP is the top-ranked team in Division II.
>> The Crimson Hawks are 3-0 as the No. 1 team with each win on the road (Mercyhurst, Slippery Rock, ESU).
>> IUP was ranked No. 5 in the WBCA preseason poll, moving up to No. 3 on Nov. 27 and staying there for two weeks before its No. 2 ranking on Dec. 11.
>> The Crimson Hawks are ranked No. 4 in this week's D2SIDA Media Top 25, moving up from No. 5 last week.
>> They are also the No. 1 ranked team in the media's Atlantic Region poll, garnering all six first place votes.
IUP IS ONE OF THE TOP SCORING TEAMS IN DIVISION II
>> The Crimson Hawks lead the PSAC and are ranked 10th in Division II with a scoring average of 81.8 PPG.
>> They have scored 80 points seven times this year, including two 100-point outings.
>> Those 100-point games - 101 vs. Ohio Valley and 100 vs. Cheyney - are the 14th and 15th 100-point performances in program history.
>> The 95 points against Alderson Broaddus is the 2nd most by IUP in a season opener (96 vs. Ohio Valley, 2002).
>> Four players average double-figures in scoring (Appleby 18.0, Wolosik 11.4, Robinson 10.8, Griggs 10.0) while all 13 who have seen the court average better than 2.0 points.
THE IUP DEFENSE ALSO AMONG THE BEST IN THE NATION
>> IUP is 2nd in Division II in scoring defense (49.6), FG% defense (.322) and 3FG% defense (.232), 3rd in turnovers forced (20.14), and 24th in steals per game (11.0).
>> IUP has held opponents to 50 or fewer points seven times, including a season-low 32 points to Shippensburg. That's tied for the 10th fewest allowed in program history and the least given up since the 2011-12 season.
>> IUP has forced at least 13 turnovers in all 14 games, including eight games of 20-plus.
>> IUP has faced six of the top 10 individual scorers in the PSAC, holding them to an average of 8.2 points below their season totals. Ariel Jones (Shippensburg) averages 25.1 points but was held to just 10.
CAROLYN APPLEBY IS IUP'S TOP SCORING THREAT

Carolyn Appleby leads the team and is 8th in the PSAC in scoring at 18.0 PPG.
>> She was named PSAC West Athlete of the Week Monday after averaging 20.5 PPG in two wins last week.
>> She has six 20-point games this year, hitting the mark four times in the last seven outings.
>> Appleby is averaging 19.7 PPG against PSAC teams, including a season-high 25 at East Stroudsburg.
LAUREN WOLOSIK STANDS ALONE

Lauren Wolosik is the only player in program history with 1,000 points and 400 assists in a career, reaching both milestones in IUP's win at Mercyhurst.
>> She missed five games earlier this season with an injury, but since returning on January 2 is averaging 11.4 PPG with a 57.1 3FG% (12-21) and has dished out 32 assists with just 9 turnovers.
BRITTANY ROBINSON CONTRIBUTES ON BOTH ENDS OF THE FLOOR

Brittany Robinson is 3rd in IUP history with 143 career blocks, including a team-high 14 this year.
>> She's 3rd on the team in scoring at 10.8 PPG, with three games of at least 18 points.
>> Robinson's 57.0 career FG% is the best mark in program history. She's shooting 58.0 pct. this season.
LEXI GRIGGS PROVING VALUABLE IN HER FIRST YEAR AS A STARTER

Lexi Griggs is 4th on the team in scoring (10.0 PPG), 2nd in rebounding (6.5 RPG) and 3rd in assists (33).
>> She also 2nd on the team with a 57.1 FG% (64-112) and 11 blocks.
>> Griggs has three double-doubles this season, including two in the last four games. She posted a career-high 17 points in the win over Pitt-Johnstown and had a personal-best 12 boards at Slippery Rock.
