No. 11 Crimson Hawks head to New York for Friday night showdown at Le Moyne

THE GAME AT A GLANCE
No. 11 IUP men's basketball (2-0, 0-0 PSAC) goes for its third straight win to start the year as the Crimson Hawks head out onto the road to battle Le Moyne (1-1, 0-0 NE10) Friday night. Tipoff at Ted Grant Court in Syracuse, N.Y. is slated for 7 p.m. This will be the first regular season road trip for the Crimson Hawks, who opened the season with wins over West Virginia Wesleyan and Concord in last weekend's IRMC/Hilton Garden Inn Classic. Le Moyne lost its opener to Bloomfield (62-59) and rebounded with a big win over Chestnut Hill (123-70).

TIPOFF NOTES
>> The Crimson Hawks had balanced scoring last weekend with four players in each game reaching double-figures. So. G Armoni Foster went for 21 points in the opener while Sr. F Tommy Demogerontas and Sr. G Malik Miller also scored 21 points against Concord.  
>> Demogerontas and Jr. G Shawndale Jones each posted double-doubles against Concord. Demogerontas added 13 rebounds to his 21 points while Jones had 13 points and 10 boards. 
>> IUP has four new starters this year with Miller the only player returning from last year's PSAC title winning team that finished 30-3 and ranked No. 2 in Division II. Demogerontas (N. Illinois) and So. G Dave Morris (Tennessee State) are both transfers while Foster and Sr. F Chucky Humphries saw minutes off IUP's bench last year. 
>> Last year marked the first meeting between these two schools with the Crimson Hawks winning 60-48 at the Kovalchick Complex. IUP rallied from 7 points down at the break and outscored the Dolphins by 19 points in the second half. Miller scored 14 points on 6-14 shooting. 
>> IUP begins the season ranked No. 11 in the NABC Coaches Top 25 and No. 8 in the D2SIDA Top 25. It's the 11th straight year the Crimson Hawks begin the regular season in the top 25 rankings.
