INDIANA, Pa. – Five members of the IUP football team have been named to the 2019 All-Super Region One teams, announced by the Conference Commissioners Association (CCA) on Friday afternoon.
 
The Crimson Hawks placed three members of the 2019 squad on the All-Super Region One first team, while a further two members of the team earned second team honors. The three first team awards from the CCA are tied for the second most in a single season for the Crimson Hawks in the past 15 years.
 
Arnold, Lloyd, and Streater earn first team honors
Redshirt senior center Jeff Arnold wrapped up his final season at IUP by picking up the fourth All-Super Region One team accolade of his career. This is the first time that Arnold has been named to the All-Super Region One first team, after being named to the second team last season, and third team in 2016 and 2017. Arnold adds the regional award to the first team All-PSAC West selection that he earned earlier in the season. Arnold is a four time All-PSAC West offensie lineman, and was named honorable mention All-American last year.
 
Fellow senior Damon Lloyd also added to his All-Super Region One team collection after earning the honor for the third time in his career. Lloyd had previously earned second team and third team honors as a junior and sophomore. The senior linebacker was a monster for the IUP defense all season long, leading the entire PSAC in total tackles, while also picking up an interception, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries en route to being named 2019 PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Year.
 
Rounding out the first team All-Super Region One team members for the Crimson Hawks was defensive back Nazier Streater. The junior transfer from LIU Post made an instant impact for the Crimson Hawks defense in his first season with the team, leading both the team and the conference with six interceptions. Streater was named to the All-Super Region One first team for the second straight season after also earning the first team nod in 2018 while with LIU Post. Like Lloyd and Arnold, Streater was also named to the All-PSAC West first team this season as well.
 
Crimson Hawks add two to All-Super Region One second team
The Crimson Hawks had a further two members of the team receive recognition for their efforts in the 2019 season by the CCA. Two members of the IUP defense were voted to the All-Super Region One second team by the Conference Commissioners Association, with defensive end Dondrea Tillman, and linebacker Nick Amendola also representing IUP in the regional squad.
 
Both players had outstanding seasons for the Crimson Hawks, helping to lead one of the best defenses in the country. This was Tillman's second All-Super Region honor, having been named to the third team as a junior in 2018. The defensive end from Sterling, Va. was tied for the lead on the IUP defense with 7.5 sacks during the season. Tillman also notched an interception, and forced four fumbles (the best mark on the team) in 2019, landing on the All-PSAC West first team in his final year at IUP.
 
Earning All-Super Region One accolades for the first time in his career, senior linebacker Nick Amendola was also rewarded for his outstanding season with a spot on the second team. The two-time All-PSAC West defensive stalwart for the Crimson Hawks enjoyed yet another prolific season for the IUP defense in 2019. Amendola finished the year second on the team in total tackles, interceptions, and sacks to complete an outstanding four years for the IUP football team.
