THE GAME AT A GLANCE
Third-seed IUP women's basketball (28-3, 18-3 PSAC) will play for a second straight regional title when they square off against fourth-seed Cal U (26-5, 17-4 PSAC) in the 2019 NCAA Atlantic Region Championship game Monday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Waco Center on the campus of Glenville State. The Crimson Hawks got here by defeating Bowie State (67-60) and Virginia Union (66-58), while the Vulcans defeated Charleston (82-71) and upset top-seed Glenville State (87-77, OT).

TIPOFF NOTES
>> IUP is making its 13th NCAA tournament appearance and has a 14-12 all-time record.
>> This is the fifth straight NCAA appearance under HC Tom McConnell, a program record. McConnell has led the Crimson Hawks to a 7-4 record in the tournament, including a 4-1 run and trip to the national semifinals last year.
>> This is IUP's first trip to Glenville for the NCAA tournament since the East Region Championships in 2007. That year IUP defeated Barton and Pitt-Johnstown before falling to the host Pioneers in the title game.
>> This is IUP's second straight regional championship game appearance and fourth all-time.
>> The Crimson Hawks won the 2018 Atlantic and 1999 East Regions and are looking for the program's third all-time NCAA Elite Eight trip.
>> This is IUP's fourth neutral site game of the season. The Crimson Hawks are 15-1 away from home.
>> IUP is 6-1 in their last seven NCAA tournament games with three wins of 15+ points and three wins of 8 or less.
>> The Vulcans swept the regular season series with wins of 61-56 at the KCAC and 73-65 in California.
>> These two teams have squared off just once in the NCAA tournament with the Crimson Hawks defeating Cal U 90-65 in last year's Atlantic Region semifinals.
>> IUP HC Tom McConnell is 4-11 lifetime against Cal U but is 2-1 against the Vulcans in the postseason.
