JOHNSTOWN, Pa. –
Austin Mueller ripped a go-ahead RBI double in the sixth inning of game two giving IUP baseball a 3-2 win and a doubleheader split with Pitt-Johnstown Saturday at Point Stadium. UPJ won the opener 6-4.
Mueller's double came with one out and went to center field, clearing the bases as UPJ went into IUP's at bat with a 2-0 lead.
The Crimson Hawks were playing as the home team at Point Stadium as weather forced all four games of the series to Johnstown.
Mueller finished the day 2-4 with that double, three RBI and a run scored. He also reached twice on walks.
Matt Klingensmith earned the win in relief for the Crimson Hawks after entering in the middle of a 2-run sixth inning for the Mountain Cats.
Tyler Adams started on the mound and kept Pitt-Johnstown (16-10, 4-4 PSAC West) scoreless for five innings. He struck out a season-high eight and scattered just five hits during his stint. Two of those hits, plus a walk, came at the start of UPJ's half of the sixth, giving way to Klingensmith.

Luke Hollander which scored
Matt Swartz, who led off the inning with a single.
Swartz led IUP in hits on the day by going 3-6 with a double, RBI and two runs scored.
After UPJ scored twice more in the seventh, IUP put together a 2-out rally in the bottom half with an RBI double by Swartz and a score by
Markus Cestra on a passed ball. The rally ended there with a strikeout and a runner stranded.
