STOW, Ohio – The Crimson Hawks saw their three-match win streak come to an end Saturday with a 6-1 loss to No. 26 Grand Valley State.
IUP drops to 6-6 overall on the season after its first match of the year against a ranked Division II opponent. It was the first of two matches this weekend for the Crimson Hawks against top-ranked opposition as they'll play No. 20 Wayne State Sunday in Stow.
Grand Valley State (20-4) took the doubles point with victories of 6-2, 6-2 and 6-4 at the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 spots, respectively.
IUP's win came at No. 3 singles as
Laura Dunarova defeated Marija Leko in three sets, rallying for a 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 victory.
Dunarova extended her singles win streak to five and increased her team-best singles dual record to 7-3 on the season.

The Crimson Hawks will square off with No. 20 Wayne State at 1 p.m. Sunday.
