ORLANDO, Fla. – IUP women's tennis grabbed wins in all six singles matches en route to a 7-0 victory over Southern New Hampshire at the USTA National Campus Tuesday.
It was the first win in Florida for the Crimson Hawks, who fell to Division I Navy Sunday night. IUP improved to 6-2 overall with a win over the seventh-ranked team in the East Region.
Idoia Huerta and
Katya Minchenkova grabbed the first victory at 6-1 at the first doubles spot.
Joanna Stralka and
Mariana Valenzuela then clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 win at two.
In singles play, Minchenkova ran her streak to eight straight with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 2.
Laura Dunarova followed with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 and Huerta officially clinched the match with a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 3.
Other wins came from Stralka at No. 1,
Thais Andreotti at No. 4 and
Julia Newman at No. 5.
