EDINBORO, Pa. - IUP women's volleyball opened up its weekend with a three-set loss on the road to a streaking Edinboro squad Friday night at McComb Fieldhouse.
It was the first of two road divisional matches for the Crimson Hawks this weekend. IUP fell to 9-9 overall and 0-3 in the PSAC West while Edinboro won its sixth straight to improve to 10-1 overall, 3-0 in the division.
Ali St. Rose scored a team-high 10 points with seven kills and three blocks.
Caroline Walsh also had seven kills to go along with a block.
Leah Henderson dished out 18 assists and
Bailey Flowerdew had 11 digs.
IUP played the Fighting Scots tight in the opening set, falling 26-24. The Hawks led 14-10 in the opener but Edinboro came back to take an 18-17 lead. At set point the Hawks scored three straight to tie it at 24-24 but dropped the final two points to end the set. Edinboro then took the next two by scores of 25-16 and 25-21.
