CLARION, Pa. - Senior
Mahogany Willis scored two second half goals to lead the IUP women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Clarion Saturday evening.
The victory caps the regular season for the Crimson Hawks, who end with an 8-8-1 overall record and a 7-8-1 mark in the PSAC West.
Both of Willis' goals came after a scoreless first half. The first in the 57th minute with assists by
Kristen Finnerty and
Alayna Ryan. The second goal came in the 66th minute as Ryan and
Hannah Scardina assisted.
Willis ends her IUP career tied for sixth in program history with 35 goals in 53 games while her .660 goals per game is fourth. She also finished with 77 career points which is eighth in IUP history.
The Crimson Hawks outshot Clarion 18-14. Willis had a team-high six shots, including three on goal.
Samantha Gildner had seven saves and tallied her fifth shutout of the season.
