INDIANA, Pa. - Nothing has changed for the IUP men's basketball team in the national rankings this week as the Crimson Hawks remain at No. 3 in the D2SIDA Media Top 25 and No. 6 in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Top 25, released Tuesday afternoon.
This is the fourth straight week IUP is No. 3 in the media poll and the second consecutive Tuesday for its No. 6 coaches' poll ranking.
The Crimson Hawks were off last week and enter this week of play with a 7-0 overall record and 2-0 mark in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
Lubbock Christian (9-0) remains at No. 1 in the coaches' poll with 13 of the 16 first place votes. Northwest Missouri State 98-1) grabbed the other three first place votes and is No. 2 while Mercyhurst (8-0), West Texas A&M (10-1), and Nova Southeastern (7-0) round out the top-5. NSU is just six points ahead of the Hawks in the voting, 333 points to 327.
In the media poll, the Crimson Hawks continue to pull one of the 16 first place votes to remain at No. 3. Lubbock Christian is still at No. 1 with 10 first place votes while Northwest Missouri State has four first place votes and is No. 2. West Texas A&M is No. 4 and Chico State (7-0) is No. 5.

The Crimson Hawks are the No. 1-ranked team in the media's regional rankings, receiving five of the six first place votes. Mercyhurst has the other first place vote and is No. 2 in the poll with three Mountain East teams - West Liberty (8-1), Fairmont State (7-1) and Charleston (7-2) - filling out the top-five.
