WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Junior guard
Armoni Foster tied a career-high with 33 points as he led five Crimson Hawks in double-figures as No. 7 IUP men's basketball defeated West Chester 103-81 Saturday night on the road.
Foster and the Crimson Hawks opened PSAC play this weekend with two road wins, also defeated Kutztown Friday, to improve to 7-0 on the season.
Foster shot 10-18 from the field and 12-14 from the foul line, adding seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in 37 minutes. He was unguardable in the second half, scoring 28 points in 19 minutes, going going 9-13 from the field and 9-10 from the foul line.
His performance capped off a huge weekend, as he went over 1,000 career points in Friday's win at Kutztown. He averaged 25.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and shot 53.1 percent from the field.
In Saturday's game, West Chester kept things close midway through the first half as IUP led 24-22 at the 9:39 mark. The Hawks exploded for a 19-4 run, with senior guard
Shawndale Jones scoring seven of those points, to take a 43-26 lead with just under three minutes to play.
Jones, one of Division II's leading scorers this year, finished with 18 points in 28 minutes after leaving the game early with an injury.
Foster's second half domination started from the jump, as he scored nine of IUP's first 11 points as the Hawks' lead extended past 20. He later scored 10 of IUP's 13 points over a 3:23 span and finished the game with seven straight points.
Sophomore forward
Ethan Porterfield hit a new career-high with 21 points in just 23 minutes. He had a near perfect shooting night, going 7-7 from the field, including 4-4 from 3-point range, and went 3-4 from the foul line.
Fifth year forward
Tommy Demogerontas had 13 points and junior point guard
Dave Morris stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, eight assists, seven rebounds, and five steals.

IUP entered the game ranked No. 7 in the NABC Coaches and No. 3 in the D2SIDA Media Top 25 polls ... This was IUP's fourth straight win over West Chester that included three wins at the KCAC during the 2018-19 season ... This was IUP's second 100-point game of the season (106, Le Moyne) ... Foster's 33 points marked IUP's second 30-point performance of the season following Jones' 37 at Bowie State.

The Crimson Hawks are off next week and return to the court with three home games the week of December 13. They'll host Millersville Tuesday, Shepherd Saturday and Shippensburg Sunday.
