EBENSBURG, Pa. – The IUP women's tennis team finished off an undefeated weekend as the Crimson Hawks defeated NAIA Indiana University East by a score of 5-2 in the late night hours of Sunday at the indoor courts of the Ebensburg Tennis Center.
The match was moved from IUP's Maple Street Courts to Ebensburg due to rain on Sunday.
IUP improved to 3-2 overall with the victory, its second straight of the weekend after beating division rival Slippery Rock 4-3 on Saturday.
The Crimson Hawks took all three doubles matches for an easy first point.
Lydia Vlachou and
Idoia Huerta were 7-5 winners at the No. 1 spot.
IUP took four of the six singles spots, with one of those two losses coming to forfeit.
Katy Graydon won her fourth straight match – while also moving up one spot to No. 2 – by a score of 6-3.
Laura Dunarova extended her streak to three straight wins with a 6-1 win at No. 4.
Other singles winners included Huerta at No. 1 – her first career time at the top spot - and
Abby Jones at No. 5.

The Crimson Hawks return to divisional play Wednesday with a home match against Clarion.
