CLARION, Pa. - In a match that moved days and locations, the IUP women's tennis team cruised to an easy 6-1 victory at Clarion Tuesday evening.

Originally scheduled for Wednesday on IUP's campus, the match was moved up one day and switched locations to Clarion due to forecasted weather and health and safety regulations. 

It was the third straight win for the Crimson Hawks over the last four days as they improved to 4-2 overall and 3-0 in the PSAC West. Clarion fell to 0-2. 

The Hawks took the doubles point by surrendering just one game in two matches. Idoia Huerta and Lydia Vlachou won 6-0 at No. 1 while Laura Dunarova and Katy Graydon won 6-1 at the two spot. 

Singles play followed with four more easy victories for IUP. Playing at No. 1 for the second straight match, Huerta won 6-1, 6-0. Graydon, the reigning PSAC West Athlete of the Week, took the victory at the two spot by a score of 6-1, 6-1 while Vlachou and Dunarova won by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively.

Three of the nine matches were decided by default.

IUP begins a three-match home stand Saturday when the Hawks host West Virginia State in non-conference competition.
