INDIANA, Pa. - IUP women's soccer came out on the wrong end of a low-scoring affair Wednesday as Slippery Rock defeated the Crimson Hawks 1-0 with a late goal at South Campus Field.
SRU's Rachel Edge scored the game-winner in the 85th minute, as the IUP defense lost out on a loose ball in front of the net.
IUP fell to 2-2-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the PSAC with the loss. Slippery Rock continued its hot streak, improving to 5-1-1 and 4-1, respectively.
The Hawks were outshot 14-3 but kept high-scoring Slippery Rock off the board with six saves from goalie
