INDIANA, Pa. – The IUP women's volleyball team has another 3-match week ahead, first hosting Salem on Tuesday before getting back to divisional play with road matches at Edinboro and Mercyhurst this weekend.
The Crimson Hawks are coming off a 1-2 week, ending it with a fantastic 5-set victory at Shippensburg on Saturday. IUP enters this week with an 8-8 overall record and an 0-2 mark in PSAC West play. Salem is 2-12 as an independent, Edinboro is 8-1 overall and 1-0 in the division, while Mercyhurst is 4-9 and 0-2.

>> The Tuesday match against Salem is expected to be the only one played in the Memorial Field House this season. The match was moved due to scheduling conflicts at the Kovalchick Complex.
>> It will also be the first of two meetings between IUP and Salem in 2021. These teams will meet again on November 2 in West Virginia.
>> The Crimson Hawks look to reverse course in both of their all-time series against Edinboro and Mercyhurst, having not defeated either since their PSAC Southwest Championship 2017 season. IUP is 3-14 against Edinboro since 2010 and 5-10 against the Lakers during that same period.
>> Edinboro enters the week with arguably the best defense in the PSAC, leading the league in opponent hitting percentage (.074). The Fighting Scots also have the PSACs leading point scorer in Bella Burrelli at 4.78 points/set.
>> The Lakers enter the week having lost four straight matches and are near the bottom of the PSAC with a .149 hitting percentage.
