EDINBORO, Pa.- IUP women's soccer recorded a 1-1 tie while visiting Edinboro today for an evening matchup.
Despite the Crimson Hawk's strong defensive efforts, the Fighting Scots got on the board first with a goal at 11:16 in the game. After the half-time break, IUP came out strong with a goal by
Rachel Onderko at 50:21. This goal was assisted by
Hannah Scardina and
Aislinn Meaney. IUP attempted to strike hard on offense during the second half with four other shot attempts, but none were able to meet the back of the goal. No other scores were brought in by either team after Onderko's goal, ending the match in a tie.
Samantha Gildner got back on the field for IUP this evening playing strong in the goal with five saves during the game.
This meeting brings IUP to a 3-4-7, 2-4-7 record and Edinboro to a 2-7-6, 1-6-6 record.
