Brown tabbed PSAC West Offensive Player of the Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – IUP standout wide receiver Duane Brown was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
 
Brown made 10 catches for 140 yards and two scores on October 1, helping IUP knock off eighth-ranked Slippery Rock by a 20-12 count on Homecoming at Miller Stadium.
 
Brown notched his third 100-yard receiving game of the season last Saturday, continuing to provide a consistent presence in the IUP passing attack. He made touchdown grabs of nine and 12 yards for the Crimson Hawks, also securing a 26-yard reception in the fourth quarter.


 
Four of Brown's 10 receptions came in the fourth quarter along with 70 of his receiving yards. Brown leads the nation in receptions/game (9.0), while ranking second in NCAA DII in receiving yards/game (138.5) and eighth in touchdowns (6).
 
IUP, recently ranked 18th in the latest AFCA Top 25 Poll, returns to action on Saturday, October 8 at California (Pa.) for a noon kickoff at Adamson Stadium in the 13th Annual Coal Bowl.
