Mak Sexton was named the league's Western Division Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Sexton was named the PSAC Championship game MVP, going 19-for-29 through the air for 169 yards and three passing touchdowns. He found nine different targets in the victory, throwing touchdown passes to three different receivers.

The Crimson Hawks held off previously unbeaten Shepherd for 24-21 victory last Saturday at Miller Stadium. IUP earned the top seed in Super Region One, receiving a bye with home field advantage throughout the regional bracket.
It marks the second weekly award from the PSAC for Sexton this season, previously named the West Offensive Player of the Week on October 17.Â

Sexton leads the PSAC and ranks third in the nation in passing efficiency (173.5). He is sixth in the country in passing touchdowns (29) and continues climbing up the IUP single season passing chart in multiple categories.

Sexton is eighth in program history for completions in a season (179), tied for fourth in passing touchdowns (29), and eighth in passing yards (2,555). Â

IUP faces the winner of this week's Ashland/Notre Dame (Ohio) matchup at Miller Stadium on Saturday, November 26.
