IUP women’s swimming tabbed 25th in December 2022 CSCAA DII Poll

RICHMOND, Va. -- The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released the December edition of the 2022-23 Division II Swimming & Diving Top 25 Dual Meet Rankings, with the IUP women's swimming team slotted at number 25 in the poll.

The poll aims to measure the top teams in head-to-head competition. The rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches and select media.

IUP was one of four women's teams not ranked previously to earn a spot in the latest rankings. The Crimson Hawks are continuing an impressive stretch, keyed by the returning fifth year seniors.

IUP began the opening half of the 2022-23 season with an undefeated 6-0 mark in dual competition. The Crimson Hawks have gone 4-0 in dual meets against opponents from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), most recently a dual meet victory at Clarion on December 10.

Paige Mikesell continued her decorated career with another accolade, earning PSAC Women's Swimmer of the Week laurels following the Hawks conference dual against Clarion.

Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
