No. 19 Hawks take out Bucknell

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The 19th-ranked IUP women's tennis team snapped Bucknell's five-match win streak with a 4-3 victory over the Bison Sunday afternoon.

It's the second win over a Division I opponent this spring for the Crimson Hawks, who improved to 4-2 on the year.

IUP had to rally after dropping the doubles point to open the match. Karolin Kirchtag and Katy Graydon had IUP's only doubles victory, winning 6-4 at the No. 2 spot.

The Hawks took four singles spots, with Kirchtag picking up another win 7-5, 6-4 at No. 2. Other singles winners included Natasha Munday 7-5, 7-6 (1) at No. 3, Lydia Vlachou 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5 and Laura Dunarova 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6. Munday's singles victory was her fifth of the spring as she remained undefeated in dual match play.
