SPARKS, Md. - The IUP women's lacrosse team wrapped up a trip to Maryland with a 13-7 neutral site loss to New Haven at Tierney Field at the USA Lacrosse Headquarters.
It was the second straight loss for the Crimson Hawks, who dropped to 2-2 on the year. New Haven is 3-0.
Chloe Borland led the Hawks with five points, posting a pair of goals and three assists.
Jordan Kulp added a goal and an assist.
Hannah Sharkey led the defensive effort with four ground balls and three caused turnovers.Â
New Haven scored the first three goals and took a 5-2 lead at the end of the first.
Emme Mass broke up early NHU run and
Brenna Whiteside scored with 12 seconds left in the frame.
IUP limited NHU to just two goals in the second and trailed 7-2 at the break. NHU scored five more times in the third to open up a 9-point lead. IUP responded with two goals and scored two more in the fourth, but it was too little and too late.

The Crimson Hawks will play at Seton Hill on Thursday, March 17 at 3 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday.Â
