Satellite Beach, Fla. - Karolin Kirchtag and
Katy Graydon were responsible for all of the Crimson Hawks' victories as the IUP women's tennis team lost to Saint Mary's 5-2 Tuesday afternoon.
Both players picked fought for exciting three-set singles victories and combined for a doubles win, although Saint Mary's earned the doubles point. No. 13 Kirchtag defeated No. 41 Marina Vigil 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 at the No. 2 singles spot, while Graydon rallied for a 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) win at the No. 4 spot.
The 25th-ranked pairing, Kirchtag and Graydon won 7-6 (7-4) at the No. 2 spot.
The loss was the third straight for the Hawks, who are now 5-5 overall on the season.
