Hawks set for a busy week

INDIANA, Pa. - IUP soccer, volleyball and field hockey will all be competing during this busy week.

The IUP soccer team is set to open the season on Wednesday with a divisional match against the Cal U Vulcans. The Hawks have a 6-3 record against the Vulcans and are looking to extend their 4 match win streak under the lead from new head coach Noreen Herlihy. The team will be back in action Saturday where they will compete against the Gannon Knights in their first home game of the season. Kickoff for the match is set for 1pm at South Campus Field.

The IUP women's volleyball team returns to the court for their second tournament of the season. The Hawks head to West Virginia to compete in the Concord Classic where they will face four opponents over the course of the four-game tournament. Play will begin at 11am Friday against the Salem Tigers and they will be back in action at 7pm where they will face the Concord Mountain Lions. On Saturday the Hawks will face West Georgia at 12pm followed by a 4pm match against Bluefield State. 

The IUP field hockey team will be kicking off their season with a home opener under new reign from head coach Kelly Terwilliger. The Hawks will be facing the Wingate Bulldogs on Friday at the George P.Miller Stadium. The match is scheduled for 1pm.
