INDIANA, Pa. – The IUP women's basketball team will hit the road for consecutive Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossovers matchups this weekend. The Crimson Hawks begin the week with a trip to Shippensburg on Friday, December 1 at 3:00 p.m. before visiting Lock Haven on Saturday, December 2 at 1:00 p.m.

IUP NEWS AND NOTES
- IUP is looking to get healthy in the early stages of the season, set for its first action since a convincing 95-76 road win at Goldey-Beacom on November 18.
- Rahmena Henderson was named the PSAC West Athlete of the Week on November 20 after leading the Crimson Hawks through a busy three-game nonconference stretch. She excelled in that span for IUP, averaging 16.6 points, five rebounds and 2.3 steals over those three contests.
- IUP has won 10 straight PSAC openers since the 2011-12 season and swept six consecutive PSAC East-West crossover weekends.
- The Hawks bounced back from a road loss at Fairmont State with the win at GBC, putting up some impressive stats in the process. Overall, IUP shot 52.9% for the game and 65% (13-20) in the second quarter. Five players reached double figures in the victory.
- Teirra Preston and Grace Centrulla have provided IUP with a dynamic duo along the low block, while Nyshae' Weaver has been providing quality minutes at the forward position. Preston racked up a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds against Godley-Beacom.
- Kiera Baughman is coming off one of the top performances of her outstanding career, reaching 20+ points for the sixth time as a Crimson Hawk last time out. Baughman poured in 22 points (4-6 3FG) over 30 minutes against Goldy-Beacom, adding three assists and two steals.
- As a team, IUP is second in the nation in field goal percentage (.516) with four starters shooting 47% or better from the floor this season. Preston is second in the conference in field goal percentage (.618), also ranking second in the league in rebounding (9.0) and fourth in offensive rebounding (3.2).
- IUP leads the PSAC in steals/game (11.8) and turnover margin (+6.25), part of a collective effort for aggressive defense and transition chances.
- The Hawks enter the game with five scorers averaging double figures, led by Henderson's 16.8 PPG clip. Weaver has logged double figures in three of four games off the bench, including 18 points at Fairmont State, while steadily collecting 7.3 rebounds/game.
- Janeira Scott and Baughman have 10 assists each for IUP, while Maria Cerro ranks fifth in the PSAC in assists/game (4.0).

- IUP holds a 41-31 edge in the all-time series with Shippensburg. The Hawks have won nine straight meetings with Shippensburg since 2011, including four straight on the road in that span.
- IUP leads the all-time series with Lock Haven by a 48-30 margin. The Hawks have won 12 straight meetings since 2011, averaging over 73 points in those wins.
