INDIANA, Pa. – IUP women's tennis rolled to a 6-1 conference win against Clarion on Wednesday afternoon at Maple Street Courts.
IUP (9-9, 5-0) kept its perfect conference record intact, surrendering only six total points the entire match. IUP won all its contested matches, including a sweep of No. 1 and 2 doubles, along with wins at all five singles flights.
The Crimson Hawks continue their success against Clarion (0-9), winning 12 consecutive meetings with the Golden Eagles dating back to 2011.
Katy Graydon and
Karolin Kirchtag racked up a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles, while
Natalie Kmoskova and
Joanna Stralka breezed to a 6-0 doubles win.
In singles play, Stralka, Graydon and
Lydia Vlachou all posted 6-0, 6-0 clean sweeps. Kmoskova rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win at the No. 2 singles spot, while Kirchtag closed out a 6-3, 6-0 victory.
