GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Indiana University of Pennsylvania softball program was able to hit double-digits in its week-and-a-half undefeated run but went no further than that as the ladies shut out the Griffins in game one (3-0) before finally falling 3-2 in the second.
Bella Bucy has been pitching her butt off and making a case for PSAC West Pitcher of the Year, winning her ninth game of the year via a complete game shutout, surrendering five hits and two walks to go along with a pair of Ks.
Jordan Sylvia did some yardwork in the opener, cranking a two-run homer into the left-center gap to go along with two singles, scoring once in each contest, and walking in the nightcap.
Delaney Patella went for three hits, all going for extra bases, cranking her fourth home run in the past six games on top of a pair of doubles, driving in three baserunners, scoring twice, and walking twice.
Elizabeth Kasper had a nice line despite the defeat, allowing three runs on nine hits over a complete six innings, striking out one and walking one.
The Crimson Hawks will look to start another winning streak starting on Tuesday, April 11 at Slippery Rock for a 2 and 4 p.m. doubleheader.
