INDIANA, Pa. – IUP Athletics and Renda Digital TV announced the return of Hawk Talk, presented by CH Fields Craft Kitchen and the Hilton Garden Inn, a weekly radio show that takes IUP fans behind the scenes throughout the 2023 football season.
The first show debuts Monday, August 28 and will air live Monday's from 6-7 p.m. throughout the year on Renda Digital TV and WQMU 92.5 FM. There will be no show on Labor Day (September 4), with the program returning weekly on Monday nights from September 11 for the remainder of the football season.
Hosted by The Voice of IUP Sports, Jack Benedict, the show will feature coach and student-athlete guests each week, including sixth-year IUP head football coach
Paul Tortorella during the fall season.
All recordings of the show take place inside the CH Fields Craft Kitchen at the Hilton Garden Inn and are open to the public. Fans encouraged to submit their questions for a chance to be featured on-air.
No. 16/12 IUP begins the 2023 football season with a playoff rematch against No. 12/14 Ashland at Miller Stadium on Thursday, August 31. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
