BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The IUP women's tennis pairing of
Ming Deewajee and
Dani Ramos had their impressive run come to a close in the doubles finals at the ITA Atlantic Regionals, hosted by Bloomsburg on Sunday.
The junior duo fell to Mercyhurst's pairing of Kayla Dean and Rosin Murphy by a 6-1 score.
Deewajee and Ramos opened the tournament with a 6-0 doubles win on Thursday against Valentine Budin and Kiersten Brown (Mercyhurst), closing out the opening day with a 6-1 win against Frostburg's Alyssa Kush and Frances Ceballos.
In the quarterfinals, Deewajee and Ramos rolled past Charleston's pairing of Michelle Connor and Sara Martinez with a 6-3 win. On Saturday, the IUP duo rolled to a 6-1 victory in the semifinals against Tuva Wallin and Amanda Mendez Thomasson (West Virginia State).
