The Last Time / History
The IUP women's volleyball team is set to return to the PSAC Tournament for the third consecutive year, marking their eighth appearance in program history.

The past two years IUP and Clarion have matched up in the PSAC quarterfinals, both times Clarion has won 3-0. The last time the Hawks advanced to the Championships was in 2002 when they defeated Edinboro 3-2.

IUP enters the week ranked fourth in the Atlantic Region behind fellow PSAC opponents Gannon (1) and Clarion (3). Fellow PSAC opponents, Pitt-Johnstown, Shepherd, Seton Hill, and Edinboro, round out the rankings. Regional rankings determine at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament, with conference championships receiving an automatic bid.

The upcoming matchup will be the 31st meeting between IUP and Clarion, with Clarion holding a 24-6 edge in the series. However, IUP recently defeated Clarion 3-2 in a five-set battle on November 12 during their final regular-season home match, extending their win streak to five games.
