INDIANA, Pa. – The IUP women's volleyball program named two student-athletes to the 2024 College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, released by the organization on Tuesday.
Senior
Simay Memisoglu (Sport Administration) and fifth year
Bailey Flowerdew (Psychology) were named honorees.
To qualify for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, compete in 90 percent of the team's competitions or start in 66% of a team's competitions.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced January 14, 2025. The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
