LAKELAND, Fla. — In a match that featured four total tiebreaker sets, the No. 48 IUP women's tennis team fell 4-1 to host Florida Southern on Wednesday afternoon.
Florida Southern (6-7) swept the doubles action and held off IUP (4-5) in singles play.
Ming Deewajee and
Dani Ramos battled in a 7-6 defeat at No. 1 singles, falling in a 7-4 tiebreaker to the tandem of Kennedi Brown and Kelly Klaren.
In singles play,
Veronica Sirci rallied from one set down for a 2-6, 7-5, 6-4 victory at the No. 5 flight against Kennedi Brown.
Katy Graydon pushed Olivia Bryant in the second set, falling 7-6 (7-5) in a tiebreaker.
